It’s almost time for Spring Sprint! We’re dedicating the month of April towards the act of telling a story with brevity. Like last year, we’ll introduce a number of events and you can choose your own to make the challenge yours. Maybe you’re a true sprinter, and you want to run the 100 meter dash– flash fiction in 500 words or less. Maybe you’re a genre writer who’s ready to make that long jump from fantasy to realism. Not ready to give up the long distance events? Run the mile with a novella– no more than 25,000 words.

Nonprofit Progress
We are steadily moving along on our goal of nonprofit incorporation. Our intended board of directors met earlier this month to discuss our by-laws, which are currently under review. A huge thank you to Matt Prince and Erin Rand for joining the co-organizers on the board! They’ll provide oversight of the co-organizers. Erin brings a background of non-profit experience that we’re thrilled to have on our board. Matt brings both knowledge of technology and a vital participant perspective to the board. We’re excited to have both of them working with us!

Inspiration Strikes
Get ready for Spring Sprint with a sneak peek at one of our bingo cards. We have genre cards coming as well, but for now you can get the creative juices flowing with some general prompts and exercises!
